Ipod Touch

The Ipod touch is a product with good design. It's slim size and light weight allows a person to easily carry the touch in his or her pocket. The touch screen controls are very smooth and self-explanatory. Despite no visible signs for how to use the controls, they are simple figure out and very intuitive.

In general, the touch is a very intuitive mp3 player. Because of its simplicity, it is easy to use. Despite being simple, the touch is capable of running useful apps and handling many small tasks. It's small size, simplicity, and ability to do many tasks makes it a very well designed product.

  1. The touch is a perfect example of an excellent product hindered by restrictive software. Only being able to use it with iTunes is a pretty big problem for me, because I can't stand iTunes -- in general I have no problem with proprietary software, but it bothers me that any music bought from iTunes is in their proprietary format that can't be used on anything other than an iPod. I shouldn't need a password to listen to songs I've legally bought -- and that is why having to use iTunes with the iPod takes a user-friendly product and turns it into a consumer's nightmare.
